Ship Spotlight Series: Meagan Lillie

Flat-Rate Shipping: What it is & When to use it

We are ecstatic to reveal the next feature in our Ship Spotlight Series, shining the light on the extraordinary talents of online entrepreneurs. In the spotlight this time is none other than the exceptional Meagan Lillie of Yass Queen Tribe!

From switching career paths entirely to earning the #1 spot at Bombparty, we explore Meagan's journey and extract the invaluable lessons that have shaped her success (Spoiler alert: her mom plays a major role!). Her unwavering determination, coupled with her ability to connect with her audience, have set her apart as a true trailblazing entrepreneur.

Meagan is based in Allen, TX and a mother to three children, Layla, 13, Stone, 9, and Lotus, 5. After being a hairstylist for 13 years, she recently found network marketing, and it changed her life for the better. She went from living paycheck to paycheck to now making over 6 figures (!) through selling jewelry for Bombparty, making it to #1 in the company in 2022. Her passion is to lead and inspire others to become the greater version of themselves - even her own mom who retired from her full time job in the medical field to join Meagan on this journey. They now get to work together everyday and travel all over the world together! How great is that?!

Ready to dive in this week? Let's do this.

Ship: How long ago and why did you launch your business?

Meagan: I started social selling 3 years ago. When I first started out I was only streaming on Facebook, and once I moved to TikTok my business exploded! I now live stream on TikTok 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) at night. I'm in the business of partying. So it's always a vibe on my live shows. ;)

Ship: What were the biggest challenges you had launching your business and how did you overcome them?

Meagan: The biggest challenge I had was learning that if I want change in my life, I have to be the change! I continuously invest in myself and attend different master minds from various mentors such as Eric Worre, Jessie Lee Ward, and Michelle Cunningham!

Ship: How do you identify and prioritize opportunities for growth in your business?

Meagan: I’m continuously striving towards learning new ideas to level up and rise higher! I truly believe what you think, you bring about. I'm always open to expanding and growing to unimaginable heights. With hard work and determination the sky is the limit!

Ship: What strategies have you used to build a strong and loyal customer base? How do you approach marketing and promoting your business?

Meagan: To build a strong and loyal customer base, your customers must LIKE, KNOW, and TRUST you. Be that light in someone else's day. When you've built a tribe of women who uplift and support one another it becomes contagious. I've met amazing men and women from all over the world who will forever hold a special place in my heart. Utilizing social media is the #1 way to expand your brand and reach new limits.

Ship: How do you stay up to date with industry trends and changes, and how do you incorporate them into your business strategies?

Meagan: I stay up to date with the trends and changes by being active on social media. There's always something we can all learn from one another. Get to know other like minded individuals and grow together.

Ship: How do you stay ahead of the competition in the market? What sets your business apart?

Meagan: I think what sets me apart is my ability to make connections with others; I love meeting new people and bringing everyone together! I love to entertain! You'll always find positive vibes and laughter on my shows!

Ship: What was your biggest business mistake? We’re all human - mistakes

and mishaps happen!

Meagan: I've had so many bloopers on my live shows! Eventually, you just learn to go with the flow and laugh at yourself. Sometimes when you’re a social media influencer, others presume you to be this perfect being, when in reality, you’re just a normal human like everyone else. You just get to share your life with the world. Always stay honest and true to yourself.

Ship: What are your long-term goals for your small business, and how do you plan to achieve them?

Meagan: My long term goal is to continue to build my tribe and help change the lives of those around me. I want to continue to lead others and inspire them to achieve their goals.

Ship: What’s the #1 piece of advice would you give to someone just getting ready to launch their business?

Meagan: My number one piece of advice is to take it one day at a time - as they say, Rome wasn't built in a day! Take your time to learn the necessary tools to propel you to the next level. Practice makes perfect, stay consistent and never give up on your dreams. Take each day as a new learning opportunity!

We love the saying "Rome wasn't built in a day." It takes time, patience, and persistence to launch, build, and grow the business and life you want - and the team here at Ship is there for you every step of the way. To take care of the not-so-fun side of running a small business. Be sure to check back next week for our next Ship Spotlight Series Feature!
